Orphan Supplies

Starting in 2012, we have periodically been able to provide supplies to orphanages in Tanzania, Uganda, and Ukraine. We now have a volunteer—Iris—who is leading this initiative, and even though we can no longer help the orphanage in Ukraine (it’s located in Crimea, and we had to halt our efforts there following Russia’s actions there in early 2014), we’re excited at the prospect of extending aid to China. The picture below was taken at No Longer Alone, an adoption-awareness event that we organized in 2012. People who attended were encouraged to bring supplies with them for this effort, and we left that evening with items ranging from food to medicine to clothes for the orphans we had committed to help. This was the first shipment of what we hope to be many to these waiting children around the world.
